Formula One Car Manufactured EZY Racing Powered NUST Students Locally

Students of Mechanical Engineering Department of the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), along Pakistan’s leading IT and technology enabling company, Interactive Group yesterday unveiled a locally manufactured single seater race car at a ceremony.
The Interactive EZY Racing Formula NUST Car will participate in formula student motorsport competition to be held at Silverstone, UK.
CEO of Interactive Group Shahid Mahmud and CEO of EZY Racing Shafraz Hamzadeen unveiled the sports car alongside faculty members at PNS Bahadur.
Commenting on the launch of the sports car by students of NUST, the Chief Guest, Chairman of the Interactive Group, Shahid Mahmud said “I am extremely excited about the launch of a locally manufactured sports car that will compete at an international circuit and will help build a soft image of the country in the world”.

British High Commissioner Wishes NUST Students ‘Good Luck’

Accompanied by NUST officials and sponsors of the ‘Formula Student Pakistan’, the students briefed the British High Commissioner, HE Philip Barton CMG OBE, about their locally-designed and manufactured racing car “NAS14”. They explained NAS14’s innovative features and about the efforts that have gone into producing this car in Pakistan. The students also shared their excitement and enthusiasm with the High Commissioner on hearing the news of qualifying to take part in the upcoming Formula Student competition at the home of British motorsports, the Silverstone Race Circuit, in Northamptonshire next month.
KARACHI: A five-person team of undergrad students from National University of Sciences and Technology (PNEC-NUST) has made Pakistan’s first ever Formula Electric Car, making Pakistan one of the six countries to be a part of the Formula SAE Lincoln 2016 competition.
The car was unveiled at an event in Karachi on Thursday.
Abdul Aleem, Shariq Waqar, Ahsan Lakhani, Imran Riaz, and Syed Muhammad Taha Rizvi are the proud Pakistani youth from Formula Electric Racing NUST (FERN), which is an initiative of PNEC-NUST.
